There are many things around you that you have to "be aware" about. What is key is to never forget.
Do not forget that there are people, just as important as you are, who need help. They might not need monetary help or even your emotional support but rather your input.
As a society, we are strong and together we are able to shift mountains, change reality as others know it and heal previously incurable diseases.
We can do this.
Cancer is on the radar today. AIDS was yesterday, yes, cancer today, something else tomorrow. Let us all focus, for once.
Let's keep in mind that there is a problem. There is a problem for which solution might exist and we are to look for it.
One day, I hope, all diseases and problems with humanity will be solved. Until then, let's not forget that just because we are Americans and we have our houses with locked doors... there are others out there who need help! You just might be one of those "others" tomorrow; and then you might wish you heeded the problem when you had a chance to.
Well, enough of my rambling.
October is the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Take heed! At the very least, remind others about this by wearing a small token [the photo on the right, for example, I took a few minutes ago of my jacket lapel].
You should also read more about this disease on Wikipedia.
Incidentally, you can download original JPEG of this photo, if you like.
